A Closer Look at Rachael Ray Home

Two years ago Rachael Ray started sketching furniture with functions that she wished were available to make life easier. So far, she has released three of her Rachael Ray Home collections, with reasons for each name (Soho, High Line, Upstate). All three of these collections are named after specific cities in her home state, New York.

Each collection pays homage to the ongoing style of each city. Rachael grew up in Lake George, a city located in Upstate New York, so her Upstate Collection celebrates the traditional aspects of furniture and home décor that is topped off with a distressed cherry finish. Furthermore, she lives in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood, so her Soho Collection matches the unique style of this area. This collection includes “small scale, ash gray furniture with Mid-Century Modern overtones.” Last but not least, Ray’s High Line Collection is in honor of a sophisticated urban park in New York City, with a bar cabinet that can hold a wine fridge additionally.

The High Line Collection embraces sophisticated contemporary style with a lightly weathered finish. What makes this collection stand out is that it features oversized pieces and the ability to mix living pieces with bedroom pieces. Construction includes rubberwood solids, oak veneers, and nickel finish hardware.

Featured here is the High Line Nightstand. Ray explains that in her sketches she wanted a nightstand that had hidden outlets for charging. She made this dream of hers come to life with a built-in USB port and electrical outlet for your convenience.
